Yes, there are heaters inside the well-ventilated tent. We recommend dressing in layers if it is chilly outside.

Is the tent ADA compliant?

To help provide meaningful musical experiences to all people, including those with disabilities, older adults, and families with children, PMP Suncoast assures that all winter residency offerings are accessible. Here are the accommodations: There is a public address system, so speakers from the stage can be heard; Golf carts are available to shuttle people to and from the parking lot and restrooms; A cement walkway runs through the tent for those using walkers and wheelchairs; There is accessible parking and restrooms; If you have specific issues, please contact our office at 941-955-4942.

Are there food or beverages available?

We sell light snacks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and water in the tent.

Are children allowed at the events?

Yes, we love introducing young audiences to classical music. Family seating is near the stage so children can see the musicians. We ask that you use discretion and exit the tent should a child become fussy or create distractions.

Do I need a ticket for tent events?

There is no charge for unreserved seating. To acquire reserved seats for all the program events in the tent, a gift of $100 or more to support Perlman Suncoast may be made online or at the tent entrance.

Why should I be a donor or sponsor of Perlman Suncoast?

Supporters are the essential partners needed to bring this unique program to our area each year. With costs rising, we depend on your generosity to ensure that the program is funded each year. Please call our executive director Lisa Berger at 941-350-2338 for more info.

Why do some people have lanyards?

The lanyards indicate that the person is a contributor who receives complimentary VIP seating.

What is special about the Celebration Concert and Dinner?

The concert, at the Sarasota Opera House, is an opportunity to hear a polished performance of the music you heard being rehearsed in the tent with the PMP Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Perlman and the PMP Chorus. Afterwards, we celebrate their accomplishments at a Celebration Dinner at Michael’s on East with all the faculty, fellows and students. There is always surprising musical entertainment that will send you home with a smile!
