The Perlman Music Program Sarasota Winter Residency

DECEMBER 22, 2016 - JANUARY 7, 2017

In its 13th year, this intensive 17-day program offers unparalleled musical training for international violin, viola, cello, and bass students, ages 12 to 20+. With a faculty led by Toby and Itzhak Perlman, the program offers an experience that changes students' lives forever.

  • PUBLIC EVENTS include orchestra and chorus rehearsals, master classes, and Works-In-Progress student recitals.
  • SCHEDULE available in November.
  • TICKETS allow early admission into these free events and will be available three ways:
    1. MEMBERS - Wear your lanyard and receive early entrance to free events (No E-Tickets Required!) (Click here for more information about membership.)
    2. $7.50 E-TICKETS will be available for purchase online in November.
    3. FREE TICKETS (max 6 per person) will be distributed in December. Dates, times and locations TBD.

PMP Alumni: Around Town features gifted PMP alumni performing for audiences throughout the region at free and low-cost events.

PMP Alumni: In Schools is an education outreach program that brings PMP alumni into Sarasota and Manatee County schools, including performances for 5th and 6th grade students and interactive training for middle and high school orchestra classes.

PMP/Suncoast Super Strings


Young violinists (ages 8-18) from Sarasota and Manatee Counties and around Florida play under the baton of Itzhak Perlman and with the PMP String Orchestra at the Sarasota Opera House as part of a PMP Sarasota Winter Residency orchestra rehearsal. Public welcome to attend this final event. 

Auditions and workshops are presented to support PMP/Suncoast Super Strings student participants.
